A holding deposit is a sum of money you pay to secure the property temporarily, indicating your serious intent to lease.
When you submit your offer, you'll be asked to enter your card details. The holding deposit amount will not be debited from your bank account until your offer is accepted by the property manager. If your offer is rejected, your card will not be charged.
If your offer is accepted and you proceed with the application, the holding deposit amount will be factored into your upfront move-in monies later on in the application. Please note, however, that if you provide false information at the Referencing stage, the property manager has the right to retain the holding deposit and decline your application.
